                                                                      What We Believe

About the Scriptures

  • We believe the Holy Scriptures are inerrant, inspired and is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creed and opinions should be tried. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:21; Romans 2:12; 1 John 4:1)
  • We believe also that God has preserved His Word to the English-speaking people in the King James Version, first published in the year 1611. Because of that act of preservation, we possess in our language the inerrant, infallible Word of God. This 1611 King James Version shall be the only Bible that we as a church will use for all worship and teaching. (Psalm 12:7-8; Proverbs 30:5-6; Matthew 5:17-19; 24:25; 1 Peter 1:23-25)

About a Sovereign God

  • There is only one True God, supremely holy and worthy of all glory. (John 4:24; Mark 12:30; Exodus 15:11)
  • In the unity of the Godhead, there are three Persons, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, equal in every Divine perfection, yet carrying out distinct offices in the redemption of man. (1 John Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 2:18; 1 John 5:8-13)

About Sin

  • Man was created by God in a state of innocence. (Genesis 1 & 2)
  • Man voluntary transgressed the command of God and fell from that holy state. (Genesis 3:6-24)
  • All men are now sinners both by nature and by choice and deserve to suffer the punishment of hell for their sins. (Isaiah 53:6; Jeremiah 17:9; Revelation 20:11-15; Mark 16:15-16)

About Salvation

  • In order to be saved, sinners must be born again. (John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 5:17).
  • Accepting Jesus Christ by grace through faith – without any works – is the only Bible way to receive God’s free gift of salvation. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; Romans 10:9-11; 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:25)

About Our Saviour

  • Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and is the only begotten Son of God. (Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-15)
  • Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross as a substitutionary payment for the sins of the whole world. (Isaiah 53:3-5, 10; 1 John 2:2)
  • Jesus Christ arose from the dead the third day. (1 Corinthians 15:4; Matthew 28:1-6)
  • Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, where He now makes intercession for all the saved. (Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 4:14-16)
  • Jesus Christ will return one day in the air for only those who have accepted Him as their personal Saviour and seven years later will descend to this earth to rule and reign for one thousand years. (1 Thessalonians 4:11-18; Revelation 19-20)

About Our Service

  • The church is an assembly of baptized believers organized to fulfill the Great Commission and that the church is the only organism which is promised divine perpetuity. (Matthew 16:16-19; 2 Timothy 3:15; Matthew 28:19-20)
  • Church members individually should separate from worldliness and sinful practice unto Christ, and that the church members collectively should be totally and biblically separate from unbelievers and all forms of apostasy and heresy. (1 Corinthians 6:17; 1 Peter 4:14-17; 1 John 4:1; Romans 16:17; John 2:10-11; Titus 3:10)
